But you can't take the country out of the girl!! It's a BEAUTIFUL day in Roma, once again! It's supposed to get up to 70 today, so it's perfect for my Mom and Ryann to get here!! I'm anxiously awaiting their arrival out in the court yard basking in the sun! And listening to some good ol' country music! I'm so excited for the Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker concert this summer, I'm already pumping myself up! And my mom brought my cow girl boots with her so I'll have them for the rest of my trip!
These past couple of days I've had quite a bit of homework; I handed in my FINAL term paper and did my FINAL presentation on Tuesday for my theology class. Yup, I've been in Rome for a week and a half and I already have 40% of my grade determined! But it's nice to get it out of the way, and everything went really well! I also had my first Italian test on Wednesday.... well.... I have some practicing to do. It will all come in time.
So yesterday me and two of my girl friends went out to lunch near Piazza Novona for a delicious salmon and avocado salad, and some vino! And gelato to top it all off! Then we walked around enjoying the sunshine and the local artists!
But my mom and Ry should be here any time now really! I am so so so so so excited! I feel like it's all I've been talking about for the past week!! I can't wait to show them the city and what it's been like for me to live in Europe for the past month and a half, and to introduce them to all of my new friends!! And they don't know it yet, but I signed them up for a pub crawl of starting at the Colosseum for Friday night, so hopefully they're up for it! This next week and a half with them will be something I will never forget, and I can't wait for it all to begin!!
